The main cities in this area of Shaanxi Province south of the loess plateaux are (from north to south); Tongchuan, Baoji, Xianyang, Xian, Weinan, Shangluo, Hanzhong and Ankang. Main Rivers are the Wei River (Wei He), and Han River (Han Shui) and the Yellow River (Huang He). The Wei River flows from west to through the middle of the province and this map passing in order Baoji, Xianyang, Xian and Weinan. The Han River also flows west to east but in the south, passing both the cities of Hanzhong and Ankang.
