Looking over the dege and downward from the top balcony one has a view of the small outer wall and courtyard of the Drum Tower.
As they have and probably will for a long time, rickshaws gather down below on the square awaiting the arrival of tourists by bus or on foot, in order to offer them the luxury grand hutong tour of the nearby Hutong and the Shichahai Lakes Area.
