Other Former Imperial Mansion in Beijing

The Other three Imperial Mansions in Beijing covered by China Report are, firstly Gong Wang Fu, the residence of prince Gong, and secondly the destroyed Su Wang Fu, on former East Legation Street, across from St. Michaels Church.

The Palace of Prince Su was destroyed in the summer of 1900 AD, during the Boxer Siege of the Legations. In the aftermath of the war it was made legations property and became the barracks to the British legation. The third and last Imperial Mansion is the Yu Wang Fu, formerly between East Chang An Avenue and the former Rue Hart in the Foreign Legations, East of and adjacent the Austrian Legation.
