To give you a better understanding of their general lay-out , this Partial Map of Central Beijing combines both Dongcheng and Chaoyang Districts into one Map. All major monuments, landmarks, streets and side-streets are included an depicted, as well as well-known hotels, temples, administration buildings.

On the Left and West, Doncheng District is cut off at The Line running North-South through The Imperial Palace Museum or Forbidden City ( For entire district please use the Dongcheng District Map ). On the Right and in The West Chaoyang District Ends at its "natural" border Beijing's Third Ring Road. In The South Dongcheng District ends at the line provided by Major Traffic Artery ChangÁn Jie' ( Boulevard ) which cuts East-West across the City and passes Tian an Men Square on its North Side. Finally, the North border of both Districts is provided by the Second Ring Road, which curves around the City and turns towards the West through Andingmen, a former City Gate now just inside the main traffic intersection of Beijing's Northern Highways.
