Introduction :A Man without hobbies and or passions is a man without a Brain, without a Heart. Or Both ??
My collection of China Pins is just one of those smaller interests that has become a habit and then a small hobby.
I first started out collecting Pins a very long time ago, during early youth days, when all I could buy as a souvenir was a Pin. I own a small, but very dear collection of U.S.A.-pins dating from our Family Travels in the USA in 1978, 1982 and 1988. The very first pin that i bought was at EPCOT in Florida, in the USA. Later, after aquiring some in the USA I moved on the collecting pins on travels in Europe, if I could get them. My China Pins are a completely seperate story. I began collecting those almost immediatly after my first landing, on christmas day 1999, in Hong Kong. After aquiring at least one Pin from
China to brighten up my earlier collections, the lid was off the Box. Slowly but surely I
have aquired yet another small, carefully selected and highly treasured Collection !
Sadly .. nowadays, and only a few years later I find it quite hard to find original ,
meaningful pins for sale in China. And one could say - I do travel around. Most pins, as
I am a traveller and foreigner originate from- and are souvenirs of famed tourist
attractions, museums and cultural sites. New items will be added as I aquire them. Last

Having visited XiÁn, and later Chengde, Datong and LuoYang, so far we rather regret that we have been unable to locate, let alone buy any souvenir Pins from the Main Tourist Sites in and around these Chinese Cities. The Quest nevertheless continues !
